About The Pharmacy Benefits Academy
The Pharmacy Benefits Academy (PBA) is an intensive two day conference for human resources, benefits and managed care professionals on the design, selection, management and monitoring of pharmacy benefit programs. The conference, held in Chicago, IL, is intended for pharmacy benefit managers (employers, managed care organizations and unions funds) to master an intermediate and advanced understanding of the industry, programs, plan design as well as providing networking opportunities with others in the field. Just Announced: Two Special Keynote Speakers
Meet Dr. John Abramson, author of "Overdosed America", who will share his perspectives as a general physician on how to take back your health care and manage pharmacy benefits. Dr. Abramson is also a Clinical Professor, Harvard University, School of Medicine. Dr. Abramson has worked with large employers and managed care organizations and labor unions to better understand why more drugs in not necessarily the best answer.
Also meet Dr. John Golenski, President and Founder of Health Priorities Group, who works with employers and managed care organizations to better understand the ethical implications of pharmacy benefit design. Dr. Golenski received his doctorate in Human Development from Harvard University and did post doctoral studies in theology and ethics at the Jesuit School of Theology, Berkeley, CA.
